EVERYONE can learn ballet! What does not necessarily mean that you will make it into the State Opera? But to experience ballet and dance, it does not matter how old you are, how big, fat or how mobile. Ballet is not just a lifestyle - it's also a great workout! And that is why it is experiencing a new boom. And quite honestly: keeping fit with ballet is really more fun than going to the gym!

 

What you should know: ballet is not learned overnight. The route is the goal! It’s all about patience and practice until your body understands the technique and the basics. And because it is very important that train well and properly, there are a lot of additional videos for you, with which you can step by step the correct execution better understand and implement.

 

Do not challenge yourself and take your time.

In the classroom, you would not learn the whole class at once but step by step. Decide yourself when you look at the extra videos and how many exercises you want to do in one day. It takes time for your body to do everything properly. And the more you practice, the better you can go through the class at a time (usually only the exercises with music, if you are sure of the order), which of course increases the intensity of your training.

 

One more hint:

The best thing is to take a chair with a slightly higher back as a substitute for your ballet bar if you do not have one at home.
